Can we live in cities that put the health of our communities and the health of our planet first? Can we thrive as a society without destroying nature? Having worked in different countries such as Austria, France, the UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Australia and Panama, I realised that it definitely IS possible.

By creating networks, building communities, connecting people through stories and co-creating inspiring messages, we can actually bring about change in the world and create a sustainable and socially just world.

I truly believe in the power of connecting people and building communities for change. Bringing changemakers together and telling shared stories are crucial in finding solutions for the biggest problems of today. Networks, communities and positive stories are needed to co-create a socially, environmentally friendly and thriving life on this planet.

My passion for enhancing the relationship between nature and people has translated into my work as a community manager at several impact networks. Over the years I have applied my skills and knowledge of community building, network forming, communication and movement for organisations, cities and businesses implementing and setting up online and offline networks for meaningful impact.

At the University of Applied Sciences I have made it my mission to boost the transition towards a thriving, circular city and commons. Currently, I am the community manager of the Amsterdam Doughnut Coalition, taking the people of the region of Amsterdam on a journey to become a socially just and environmentally safe community within the boundaries of our planet.
